Competitive Situation Analysis Template

Use this tool to quickly assess your organization's competitive position and determine the major issues or problems you must address to improve the competitive position of your organization.

This template allows you to do a competitive strength assessment of your competitors.   In first section, enter the financial performance factors for your organization over a period of up to five years.   In the next sections identify your organization's major internal strengths and weaknesses, and your major external opportunities and threats.   In section 6, select the key success factors or competitive variables, then weight them in terms of overall importance and rate each competitor on a scale of from 1 to 10 for each factor.   This will give you an overall strength rating for each competitor.  You can also include your organization in this rating to compare your organization's strength with that of your competitors.  In the last two sections, enter your conclusions concerning your organization's competitive position and major issues or problems that the organization must address.

Once completed, this assessment will give you and the organization's management team a quick assessment of your organization's overall competitive position.
