Competitive SWOT Analysis Tool
A SWOT Analysis is a scan of the internal and external environment factors affecting your business; and, as a tool, it is an important step in the strategic planning process. This tool is used to conduct a comprehensive S.W.O.T. (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats). It will enable you to assess your organization's internal and external market facing strengths and weaknesses, and comparing them to those of your competitors. In sections 1 - 7, you can rate your business on up to 170 critical factors in the areas of administration, finance, management, manufacturing, marketing, organization, and technology. You give a performance rating to each factor that applies to your organization (and those of your competitors if included). If the factors don't apply to your business, you can leave them blank. This tool produces a performance rating for each area and the overall business. In sections 8 (Opportunities) and 9 (Threats), you can list the external factors facing your business and the actions that need to be taken to address these factors in each of ten categories.
